Atlogus specialises in the provision of 3 major Services

Business and Process Analysis & Design

The art of effective Business and Process Analysis is understanding the existing environment quickly, identifying existing or potential problem areas, and rapidly designing solutions

Business Processes exist in all Companies, but still few have properly mapped or understood the interrelationships between processes. Atlogus deploys a simple methodology for not only traditional Business Process mapping exercises, but also the interdependencies between systems, physical infrastructure and the commercial environment. Our deliverables can be quickly turned into systems specifications, organisational designs, roles & responsibilities documents, and performance measurement analyses.

Systems and Technical Analysis & Design

As a natural follow-on from our work at the Business Process level, we are often asked to turn our ideas and Process evaluations into detailed technical designs which can be developed into IT Systems.

Our expertise in this area is not governed by a particular technology or rigid methodology. We work within our Clients' environment. Our experience allows us to create designs suitable for web-based applications, handheld devices, as well as traditional client-server solutions. We have produced systems in the past on IBM Mainframe, Unix Mid-range platforms, and in Java, ASP and .Net environments.

Understanding the complexity of each technology - from a User driven application standpoint - is our strength.

We prefer to work in environments where the business User drives the design process, and we are often asked to deploy our proven Joint Application Design (JAD) processes within our Clients.

The evidence of our Systems and Technical Analysis skills is in the applications that are built from our designs, and our own products.

Project Management

We engage in both Technical and Business Project Management. We are often used as the bridge between an in-house IT Group and a business unit, where outside facilitation, a non-intrusive style, and a result-focused approach is needed.

In our Business Project Management engagements we have performed a wide range of activities - ranging from start-ups of new business divisions (running projected P&L's, helping define organisational structures, recruiting new staff), to Customer facing roles where new initiatives are being launched or a new Customer introduced to our Clients' services. The fact that our Clients entrust us with these responsibilities is testament to our professionalism and ability to blend in to our Clients' environments.

The management of IT Projects is a difficult discipline. The key is to establish a rapport with the business Users, the engineers, and the project sponsors. Above all, practical problem solving and communication skills are required. Having run a variety of multi-million dollar projects across international time zones, Atlogus personnel are able to take on complex design, development and implementation projects. We are savvy enough to recognise when scope creep needs to be highlighted, and detailed enough to understand the technical arguments and decisions that affect timelines.

We are truly focused on deadlines and exceeding the expectations of our Clients.
